Safe Browing FAQ

What is Google SafeSearch?

Within the preferences of Google's search engine, you will find three search filtering levels.  The default setting is "moderate" filtering which only filters explicit images.

Conducting searches using Google for Kids ensures that the most strict level of filtering is always on and filters both images and explicit text.

If you are conducting searches on the main search page on Google, you need to change the filtering settings in Google's preferences to the highest level, which also filters out text, in addition to images.

In the middle of the page you will see the option to select "strict filtering" or to "turn off safe search".  The default setting is always moderate.
